USIMC Benefit Concert Featuring 2005 Van Cliburn Gold Medalist Alexander Kobrin

Called the “Van Cliburn of today” by the BBC, pianist Alexander Kobrin has placed himself at the forefront of today’s performing musicians.

Last month Mr. Kobrin came to the Bay Area to give a salon fundraising concert, War, Music, Hope — for young Ukrainian music students who are refugees due to the war between Russia and Ukraine, hosted by CMTANC. The fundraising concert was a huge success, inspiring and touching on many different levels. Mr. Kobrin’s performance was absolutely beautiful and breathtaking; many audiences were moved to tears by Mr. Kobrin’s performance!

We are honored and excited to have Mr. Kobrin return to the Bay Area again and perform for the USIMC benefit concert in April! The program will include works from Beethoven and Schubert.

The United States International Music Competition is organized by the  United States International Music Foundation, affiliated with the Chinese Music Teachers’ Association of Northern California (CMTANC). The Foundation is a  501(c)(3) a tax exempt nonprofit organization. The competition, previously known as CMTANC International Youth Music Competition, has more than 20 years history,  provides young musicians with an opportunity to exhibit their talent and reward their hard work, as well as to encourage them to appreciate music cross-culturally.

上個月底，Mr. Kobrin 來到灣區開了一場『烽火中音樂的曙光』的慈善募款音樂會。那是一場為了目前因為戰爭而被迫逃難中的烏克蘭年輕音樂學子們的募款音樂會。由我們 CMTANC 主辦。這場音樂會非常地成功，在各個層面上都非常地令人感到感動與鼓舞人心！Mr. Kobrin 的演出更是無比的美妙與令人讚嘆，許多人在音樂會中都隨著他的動人演出而留下了感動的淚水！

我們非常的開心也很榮幸地能夠邀請到 Mr. Kobrin 再度來到灣區，在四月二號為 USIMC 的募款音樂會演出。節目內容將會包括貝多芬與舒伯特的鋼琴曲。
